The Little Elm Area Food Bank depends on members of the community, local organizations and businesses in order to meet the needs of the residents of our community. There are many ways you can help:
|
Volunteer Your Time
If you are interested in a regular schedule or can respond on short notice, we need you. We rely on volunteers to accept donated food and baby products, prepare the donations for placement on the food panty shelves, and assist with stocking and organizing the panty and providing referral information to clients who visit the Food Bank.
Food Bank volunteers regularly retrieve donations from area grocery stores, schools, churches and businesses. Volunteers who are bilingual are always welcomed. Volunteers are also needed to provide a variety of clerical and administrative duties. We are also seeking volunteers with expertise in fields such as public relations, grant application writing and fundraising. Visit the Food Bank for a volunteer application.
If you would like a member of the Food Bank Staff to contact you, please complete the online contact form. A member will contact you as soon as possible.

Make a Direct Cash Donation
Cash donations are equally important and are used to replenish the food pantry. The food bank needs the ability to purchase specific food items or to replenish the pantry when food items are running low. Please consider a cash contribution to the Little Elm Area Food Bank. We hope that you will include us in your annual contribution budget.

| Adopt a Shelf or Organize a Food Drive
Churches, business, schools, Scouts, or any group of enthusiastic people can conduct a food drive. Dedicated people realize it takes local involvement to solve a local problem. Food drives are critical to the ongoing mission of the Little Elm Area Food Bank.
The Little Elm Food Bank is estimating over 45,000 pounds of can and package foods are needed to furnish a minimum level of support to those in need. Start early, set a goal, have fun and set up a central collection location.
