A Heartfelt Thank You: Over $15,000 Raised on North Texas Giving Day

For the very first time, the Little Elm Area Food Bank participated in North Texas Giving Day—and what an incredible experience it turned out to be. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over $15,000, far exceeding our original goal of $10,000.

What This Means for Our Neighbors

These funds will directly cover more than two months of food purchases made through the food bank. That means thousands of meals provided to families across Little Elm and our surrounding communities. For neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet, this support will help ensure food is one less worry during an already challenging season.

The Power of Community Support

We are deeply grateful to the 17 donors who came together to make this possible. Among them, we want to give special thanks to Cottonwood Creek Marina, a local business that stepped in with a generous gift. Their partnership shows the difference that local businesses can make when they invest in their community.

We also want to thank our volunteers and board members, who helped spread the word and inspired people to give. This success is a reflection of everyone’s efforts to come together in support of our neighbors.

Growing to Meet the Need

Over the past year, the Little Elm Area Food Bank has grown significantly. In fact, we have already served more people year-to-date in 2025 than we served during the entire year of 2024. This growth highlights both the increasing needs in our community and the importance of having strong, reliable support from donors like you.

As the holidays approach, we know this time of year can bring extra financial strain for families. That’s why we provide special holiday foods so every family we serve can celebrate with dignity and joy.
